A Thrilling, Morning Rush...

December 04, 2004 - Yehey! After almost nine years of being awaken by my two virtual radio companions I finally get to talk to them and see them weave their magic. I was with 'Kirk Patrick' - (is this how it is spelled)... the ever active rusher, thank God Kirk is well known in the rusher's world, that I had the nerve to actually go there!

Chico and Delamar!!! I finally got to talk to them... in the flesh! My gosh, I can still remember the days when my heart is throbbing preparing for an exam in college and I would listen to the radio in the confines of my "boring"house and I would laugh like crazy!!! I think they were one of the reasons I survived my sanity in college.

After college, there was the lull, when I was a bum for about three months and listening in at 6 am was one of the reasons why I would wake up early and just go about my day. This I am really sure, saved my sanity!!!!

When I started work up to now, that's about 5 years, I get to listen to them while I am preparing for work. Still my heart throbbing, now not for an exam but for what awaits me in the office.

I think the changes in my life also marked the changes in their show. From college when they were the virtual loveteam and a bubbling duo ( i had to beg a friend to sneak me backstage in UP Diliman when they were promoting their album - Talk about love - yup! I bought both CDs and yes kirk, they are on tape (CDs are so expensive for a student's budget.. hehehe ) and I just literally shoved the paper to them.. I was starstruck!!!! I have a copy of that paper in one of my diaries! I still remember that it was drizzling but I dragged my barkada so we could see the show.

I panicked when they left RX. Where were they? So my brother and I had to listen for rumours where they transferred. And lo and behold! They were on KC! Then, finally they've returned to RX.

Whew! I really can remember every phase of my life with Chico and Del and hopefully I will grow old with these two. And finally the ultimate, I got to attend the TEA PARTY!!! and I was able to go the radio station!!! This is an experience I'll never forget. I wouldn't listen to the radio the same way again. I will always have a picture in my head of how they are seated and how they do stuff. It was truly amazing!

Thanks Chico and Del for shaping the person I am now.
Thanks Kirk for letting me meet my IDOLS!!!!
