I chose this life....

I have read somewhere, I think in the Celestine Prophecy that as souls, we choose our life path. We choose our parents, our hometown, etc. so that we could attain our life's purpose. As I walk back to the office after a hearty lunch meal, there are a bunch of people along Ayala walking, shouting for our current president to resign. Hay.... this is what I like about Filipinos... never a dull moment. Makes me wonder why I chose to be a Filipino. Maybe I became bored as a satiated European?

Ah well, I am really a self-confessed apathetic Filipino. I know I should be harrowing in shame but I really am not interested in politics. I think politicians are made of some 'stuff' that I can never have. I admire them but I also loathe them.

Power corrupts... and I think the Philippines should be sold to the US. That's why I don't feel like celebrating during Independence day. Will it be better if we were never granted our independence? Ingrate? I don'…
It's fun to be gay!

I am really one of the ultimate faghags! I don't know why but when a guy has certain traits that we readily associate with gayness I am really drawn to that person and I would like to think they are also drawn to me. They really make good friends. They are very artistic, articulate, honest, witty and a helluva lot of fun!

One time, I ate dinner with a gay crowd and I really had a grand time. I was the only female there and it's really educational. They come in all shapes, sizes (as they would really explain that size really matters but sometimes it's also what you do with it) and even if I have a built-in gaydar, some of them I really can't pinpoint if they really are gay if I just see them in a mall. The time of stereotypes is over!

As Jack would put it in Will & Grace, "The planet is turning gay." Just look at the rise of metrosexuals and babaeng badings.

I also have a deep respect for Danton Remoto. He is really a good writer. I l…
To Eat or not to Eat...

I am getting worried over a friend's diet regimen. I have nothing against dieting, it's really a judgement call. But over the years, I am what you might call a diet veteran... been there.. done that. And I've come to realize that I can never really go down beyond 145 lbs, I will always have a voluptous, curvaceous body and now, I am more at peace with my body and of course food.

There was a time when I really restricted myself. No meat, no fat, no sugar.... in short.. boring! But I came to realize that I can never accept a diet that I can never keep for life. This is just a personal testimonial of why diets don't work. Sure, you'll lose weight but those fat cells are very intelligent. After one or two years... they're back with a vengeance. You'll gain weight even if you restrict your calories. It's no way to live...

If you want another opinion... please read on..... I really believe now that moderation is really the key and we mu…

A weekend of firsts

1. The first time that I ever set foot at Ateneo Grounds. Yup, last saturday was the first day of our Football Season. In fairness, we had the cutest uniform. Armed with tons of water and bottles of Sun Block Lotion, we braved the extreme heat of the sun (1:30 pm! - imagine the heatstroke!) for our first 2 games.
The first game was fun! Both teams comprise of soccer novices. It was action-packed! With all the kicking, screaming and running we were on fire! The first game was a draw (considered a win by the way in soccer).
The second game was a different story. The opposing team have experienced soccer players. There were only 4 players while we had 10. Imagine that, 4 against 10. And they beat us single-handedly (special mention to pink 5 who is really a spanking good soccer player). A memorable scene: Pink 5 being chased by 3 players and she easily …
My idea of heaven on earth???

A plateful of Al Pesto Pasta.... and three pieces of cake in one meal! Yummy!

I think the result of the quiz is true... "I am going to die of diabetic coma!"

But it will be worth it! I'll die with a smile!
Another mozarella post...

As time goes by, you realize that the more mean, cold, and cruel a person is, the more he needs healing. I have read in the book Wizard’s First rule that the greatest cruelty comes from people who used to the gentlest, most loving person that you’ll ever meet. In the story, a Mord-sith is a magical creature that tortures a person and “breaks” a person’s spirit through sadistic acts. How do they select a potential Mord-sith? They will scout the whole kingdom for the kindest, gentlest, most caring children that they can find and they will train them to be Mord-siths. Sad, but I think this is true.

Remember: Hitler is a Taurean (known for gentleness and kindness) and he loved children very much.

Sometimes, life can be a sad affair. A twist in the fork, just a little bit will change your destiny forever….

Originally uploaded by amazonangbading. Yup, your eyes are not deceiving you. There is actually a picture of a saint in my page. I just think this is interesting... (well, i hope it's interesting.. and maybe it can help a mother-wannabe out there... wishing for a child..... )

If ever I am going to write a biography or a memoir, I already have an interesting story on how I came to be. Aside from the birds and the bees, there is a story that I like to share to my friends.

Here is my story, of how I came to this world.. (naks!)...

My mother and father were married for about four years already and they were still without a child. My mom have a condition that makes pregnancy very, very difficult. I cringe when I hear the story... she suffered from two miscarriages and they were beginning to get resigned to the idea that they would not be gifted with a child.

One night, my mom dreamed of a man in brown robes (a monk robe I presumed - well, I think my mom could have dre…

James yap picture
Originally uploaded by amazonangbading. My gosh... nawarla akey sa paghahanap ng picture ni James Yap. I just got curious because of the whole brouhaha of this yap-aquino affair. Purefoods cager (is this a projection stance in the part of Kris Aquino because she can't have Alvin Patrimonio?... hmmmm....)...

This is an excerpt of an interview with James upon joining the PBA.

"He also looks forward to about 10 more years of basketball in his life as he also considers a professional career in the future for his family."
"In the meantime, he describes his ideal girl as one who is "chinita, loving and faithful." Blessed with good looks, James has been modeling for Jag and Converse outfits. He only smiled sheepishly when pressed how he would respond to tinseldom's call, as he disclosed that his basketball career is managed by the scion of the Demonteverde clan which owns Viva Films."

Chinita- check, loving-probably a check... faithful??…
" I love you enough to hate you... "

Venting mode... please don't read on if you don't want some heavy, emotional stuff...

"Do you hate me?" asked the man.
"I don't love you enough to hate you," she whispered as she walked out of the room. (taray ng exit).

I have heard this in one of the movies that I've watched in the past. I always wondered if this was true but last night I found out and realization struck me hard.

There are people you hate because you dislike them. You hate their guts, their attitude, hell... even the way they talk. This was the only hate I knew. This kind of hate is mild. It's just like irritation in a more deeper level.

But there's this deep seated hate that will permeate through your body. I tell you at that state you can inflict physical harm. Your hands shake and logic flies out the window. I felt this... and I knew... someone you cared and loved like a sibling can bring out the "Sith". Love flipped…

A balanced weekend....

Originally uploaded by amazonangbading. The weekend started with something for the physique (naks!). We again trooped to the UP Sunken Garden for some kicking and running action. As usual, the kabataans were there! The long-haired dude was not there but there were additional high schoolers ripe for the picking.

I like soccer not just for the health benefits (aerobic ... you can never have enough aerobic stuff in your system), the scene is calming and soothing. The green field spread before you filled with youngsters in bright shirts and vibrant energy. I really love the smell of grass and damp earth; this couple with the welcoming heat of the sun - a real treat for office yuppies boxed in their cubicles five days a week. I hope this will be a weekend habit. This habit I will not break.

After the heart-pumping game, of course.. treat for me, a Jolibee Big Meal! I know I may sound like a marketing officer for Jobie but I really love their new promo. Big Meal for Big Kids like…
Joke and other charuz-chorva...

While waiting for sandwiches that we ordered, I was asking my officemate regarding the features of his new Nokia MMS phone.

"May video ba yan?" I asked.
"Yup, it has video, FM, mp3 player, u name it, andito sa phone."
"Ah... (light bulb flashing at the top of my head)... so you can make "S** videos with your new phone!"
"Dream mong mag-star sa ganung video noh?", he kidded me. (that's what I like about this guy, sumasakay sa kababawan ng mga jokes ko.. true friend! hehehe :) )
"Yup! Wearing this only this ang gusto kong theme." I jokingly told him.
"EH... MAY BIBILI NAMAN KAYA NG VIDEO MO!" he wittingly retorted.
"Aba... malay mo.. may bumibili nga ng M2A eh?" For those who don't know M2A... go to your nearest Quaipo DVD/CD Dealers to buy one. Katabi yun ng mga M2M.. at G2G.. hehehe :)
