"Tonight I Can Write"
By Pablo Neruda

Tonight I can write the saddest lines.

Write, for example, "The night is starry
and the stars are blue and shiver in the distance."

The night wind revolves in the sky and sings.

Tonight I can write the saddest lines.
I loved her, and sometimes she loved me too.

Through nights like this one I held her in my arms.
I kissed her again and again under the endless sky.

She loved me, sometimes I loved her too.
How could one not have loved her great still eyes.

Tonight I can write the saddest lines.
To think that I do not have her. To feel that I have lost her.

To hear the immense night, still more immense without her.
And the verse falls to the soul like dew to the pasture.

What does it matter that my love could not keep her.
The night is starry and she is not with me.

This is all. In the distance someone is singing. In the distance.
My soul is not satisfied that it has lost her.

My sight tries to find her as though to bring her closer.
My heart looks for…

Omigod! My legs ached and I can’t get off my bed for 30 minutes. It took a lot of effort just to stand. I remembered that my room is in the second floor so I have to go down to go to work. Argh…. I can’t fold my knees. Why am I in pain today? Because of the 10 Ks!

Yesterday, I ran a 10K race. My goal was not to finish in the top 3 but just to finish the race hopefully in 80 minutes as a co-worker suggested. I woke up at about 4 AM (race starts at 530). Feeling groggy, I forced myself to take a batch and to arrange some of my gear.

Venue of the starting line was Fort bonifacio…. (ok… FB is a big place and we’re not sure where exactly in FB the race is going to start but we have faith in our taxi drivers… naks!). When shaporee and I reached the venue, it was already filled with runners. It was really like a carnival. The atmosphere was so festive and everybody looks fit. I was really inspired by the old folks who were there. I wish that I am still fit to run races when I rea…
Star Wars III (huling hirit)...

Warning: Spoilers ahead...

MY GOSH!!! The movie that I was really anticipating... the movie that will bind the prequel trilogy to the original trilogy... the movie that many have said is worth the two disastrous predecessors.... is an LVN, Sampaguita picture guised as a Hollywood film set in the future. Rogelio Dela Rosa is that you?

Everytime that Anakin and Padme have a scene, I want to put cotton buds in my ears and close my eyes because I think the actors themselves are really squirmish in delivering their lines. George Lucas!!! Please hire good screenplay writers! I beg of you!

I was really, really disappointed! But if this movie has merit, it has the look and feel of the next trilogy (4,5,6). The costumes, the spaceships and many questions were answered. But my gosh!!!! I am still reeling from my desire to puke!!! Those lines!!! Arghhhh.... cheesy.... cheesy!
Early birds....

Hmmmm... it's 8 am..... and I am already here at the office. Something's amiss you might surmiss... but no.... many are already typing away... eating their breakfast... some were here as early as 7 am! Why you might ask? Is it the end of the world? A boost in employee morale? Nahh.... today is the company's screening of Star wars III - The return of the at 5 something we are out of here and attack the dark movie house to see darth vader!

And if I win a bet... I can watch this the second time around for free... bwahahahaha.... "THE FORCE BE WITH US ALL!" ... AMEN!

Originally uploaded by amazonangbading. Last Saturday, the girls soccer team from GT trooped to UP sunken garden for their first soccer practice! Armed with new shoes, expectant faces (eyes roving for potential fafas) and absolutely NO knowledge of anything about soccer.

The coach asked us what rules are we going to use? ... blank faces, giggles... and more giggles. "OK, so why did you join the soccer team?".. Unanimous answer? "CUTE TEAM ORGANIZER!"

The practice game was fun. Take note, we played with girls and boys, half our age.... ok... my age.... "Ate, ate... bola..." "Huh??? Oh... she's referring to me...." But I was really smitten with a guy from PhiSci (ok... high school po itoh..) and a second year college long haired-dude!

Hay... I'am absolutely liking soccer already! Oh... by the way... I scored a goal! Sadness,,, but it was the opponent's goal.... (sorry po... tao lang... hehehe ;) )

The Return of the Dark Father

"A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away, a promising young Sith Lord overcame adversity and a handicap to take the galaxy by storm in a big, big way. He probably had no idea as he pulled the first few labored breaths through his new breathing mask and respirator that he would go on to do great things."

"As a personal emissary to the Emperor, this ambitious and talented young man was a symbol of tyranny throughout the Core Worlds and beyond. He headed the Imperial Navy, led the hunt for the Rebel Alliance, oversaw the construction of the second Death Star and was personally responsible for killing scores of Jedi during the great Jedi purge of the Clone Wars. "

"Dark warrior, star pilot, statesman, enforcer, saber master, leader, a bad mammer-jammer -- all words that could be used to describe the Dark Lord of the Sith. Who is Darth Vader really? "

I think part of the unsuccessful audience reception of the first two installments to the prequel star wars tri…

Originally uploaded by amazonangbading. Filipino Women Basketball is quite different from the WNBA that you watch on T.V but similarities also exist. Well, aside from the fact that we don't have the lumpy muscles of those Amazonian women, we are "noisy" on the court. You can hear it on T.V. and you can definitely hear it on the court. With chidings and "asarans" on the side, even if we were not able to win a single game, each game brings with it a level of fun and camaraderie that I will cherish and look back to when my knees grow weak.

Just some funny anecdotes from the court (excerpt from an email sent by one of the pillars of the team)
- Nakapaglaro si Michelle (imported from Hong Kong, kaka-flyhome lang) who played an all-around game. Scorer, Rebounder, Dribbler, Blocker. Napabagsak nya si Peaches (#6 ng Bratz). As in...napatumba nya!

- Natawagan ng 5-second violation si Kyle (Camille) sa painted area. Pero hindi nya…

What keeps me busy these days? Well, apart from super listening to my IPOD, I have a very subliminal liking with anything with BALLS... basketball, football, and of course... shuttlecocks! We're also training for our 10 K run... I am excited with this one because I am hoping that I get to meet kind, hunky runners that I will chase through the whole 10 K....

Football.. yup... soccer... not rugby but football... Think ... Bend it like Beckam... Why did I join the football team? I liked the uniform, the coach and I want to wear knee high socks! What an incentive!

Overheard from the radio (RX of course)... Darna and Kampanerang Kuba... both of them played by Mayor Ate Vi.... well, we have Angel Locsin and Anne Curtis.. one is an angel and the other?.. well, in fairne…

Talipana's Best Kept Secret -- according to moi

Galera's Lukas
Originally uploaded by amazonangbading. For every vacation that I take, I am more excited with the trip/journey rather than the destination. That's why I was totally thrilled when I went to Sagada a few years back because of the 17 hr ride and the rustic scenes we passed by and the people you bonded with (for life!) . Besides the scenery, the FOOD should be good and sumptuous!

Talipana Beach in Puerto Galera may not have a ring of recognition for some but if you would like peace, tranquility, (beach full of fafa foreigners and fafa locals), and good Italian good, this is the beach for you ... including bitches and bitches wannabes.

First food trip stop in Talipana should be 'LUKAS' restaurant! Thanks to Faye and fafa Erbie for introducing us to this resto. This is a restaurant serving Italian cuisine and the cook/chef is ITALIAN (how authentic can you get). From my vantage point, I can see this fafa cook weaving his magic in the kitchen. Sad though, …
Unforgettable Moments with Mama....

This sunday is Mother's day! I was treated with early mother's day sentiments when the topic for Chico and Delamar's Top Ten (radio show) - Unforgettable mom moments. I can't help but think of my own LOL moments with my mom as I was fighting back tears because of the melodramatic entries from the rushers.

I walked into the room to find my mom seriously scribbling something on paper... from my vantage point, I thought she was writing an address or something. I moved closer for a better look and there she was writing the last sentence... "Pass this on to ten other people..." My gosh.. as realization struck me... my mom is writing the text message she has received and my mom (I haven't taught her how to forward text messages) was going to compose a new message containing what she has written to be sent to her friends. I was really fighting tears because I was laughing so hard.

Another text message incident.... As all of us …

LOTR + Okay ka Fairy ko + Ora Engkantada + Never-Ending Story + Da Vinci Code (da divine feminine) = Encantadia

Encantadia... Femme Kingdom
Originally uploaded by amazonangbading. At long last, a teleserye where there are strong, capable women! Battle warriors, lovers, mothers... a feminist's dream (i do hope it lives up to high expectations).

I was excited and a bit cynical when I watched the teasers for this latest telefantasia from GMA-7. But when I saw the costumes (reminded me of LOTR), I am now an Encantadia convert! To think that all of the main protagonists are women!

... "Encantadia" is divided into four kingdoms-Adamya, Lireo, Hathoria, Saphiro -- each bearing the gems that represent the four elements, wind, water, fire and earth.

...."Even more riveting are the beautiful muses of each kingdom that are the true jewels of this show: Sunshine Dizon as Pirena, Iza Calzado as Amihan, Karylle as Alena and Diana Zubiri as Danaya. Dawn Zulueta as Ynang Reyna is really MAJESTIC with her fairy-like demeanor!
