Love, angst and the stories of 'tol and manang

Nice picture.... I am so loving the fireworks... tsuzj!
There seems to be a host of things both seen and unseen that are at work in our lives. Right at this moment, we could feel that there are much bigger things happening in this world than our petty angst and anger with how our lives our going. There are quite a number of disappointments that abound in our lives. We could see that the world is not fair; people you like would not like you back. There seems to be an unhappiness that exist in our lives because we think that there is something better, that the grass is greener on the other side of the fence.
Love is an emotion that is as powerful as any tyrant or catastrophe that nature can conjure. Wars are fought, lives wrecked, hearts hardened, nations fold up, and a nation's coffers emptied because of this little thump-thump, this little flush in our faces, this little thing we call love. This intense longing for someone o…

"Synchronicities are people, places or events that your soul attracts into your life - to help you evolve or to place emphasis on something going on in your life.

The more 'consciously aware' you become of how your soul creates - the higher your frequency goes and the faster your soul manifests.

Each day your life will become filled with meaningful coincidences - synchronicities - that you have attracted - or created in the grid of your experiences in the physical.

There are no accidents - just synchroncity wheels - the gears of time - the wheels of time - the wheel of karma - wheels within wheels - the alchemy of creation - the Philosopher's Stone - Sacred Geometry=SG=StarGate - evolution of consciousness.

Thoughts on a gloomy, cold and crumby day...

After finishing off a tube of Orea Peanut butter with cream sandwich (I am really a weakling!), I realized that I haven't blogged for almost five days now. That's a feat! So, I'll try to just type on... about everything that happened to my meandering existence.

Last Saturday, I was able to catch Beauty and the Beast the musical with dahon, kat, hazel, mel, jon, and the rest of my officemates. It was great! I loved it! I had no expectations and I was a little disappointed at first because we learned that it was going to be Karel who will play Belle that day. But when she sang the first few lines... she had me captivated. I didn't know that she is a good singer.

I liked rocker Jett Pangan but when "Beast" was transformed, voila... "He's supposed to be a handsome prince right?" When I remembered this comment from T I really laughed! The scene turned phidophilic to me, Karel is too young for Jett or Jett …
A fan...

I am not an impulse buyer but during our lunch break, while waiting for my friends, my eyes met his... and I couldn't resist! I asked my brother to buy MTV ink because in the cover of the magazine was RAYMOND Gutierrez! So cute!!!

I was not disappointed. There are four pages... with his face pasted on every leaf! My gosh! I want to scream!!!! Ikkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk............ hayy...
Popcorn thoughts...

First of all, congratulations to our soccer team for winning second place! Even if we didn't win the much coveted first place trophy, the camaraderie and friendships that were formed are truly unforgettable. Go team!

1. I am wearing an oversized blouse. I think I should buy clothes for myself for once. My brother and mother are the ones who buy my clothes and stuff -- in fairview, they have good tastes, better than mine.

Yes... I belong to the nearly-extinct sub-species of the girl population. I don't like shopping. I get so tense and uncomfortable when I enter a dress boutique, even a shoes store. I only get excited if I get to buy rubber shoes, rackets, shuttlecocks, balls, weights, books, cds, magazine, but not clothes, shoes, and other vanity items. It's just me I guess. Different strokes, for different folks..

2. Yesterday was the first time that I heard flawless Tagalog words being uttered by a Caucasian. It was disarming. But it's true, hea…

New Beginnings….

Standing at the altar
Originally uploaded by amazonangbading. I have always been a romantic. Even as the years passed by, and I have become a little bit jaded and cynical about things in life… I have a complete, absolute faith in Love and Romance. Things may be deformed, philosophies may be disputed and nullified, supposed scientific theorems may crumble but there is just something about two people promising each other to love and to cherish, till death do us part.

There was this time when I visited a church and there was this wedding. The bride and groom were complete strangers to me but during the whole ceremony I was fighting back tears… I told my friend in a whisper”I think I am going to cry..” and she laughed! I know it may seem uncharacteristic of me to be emotional but that’s just me. I silently cry at weddings because it’s a celebration of love. Even if it doesn’t exist in my personal realm, others have found it and cherished it. Love do exists! It can be selfless and beauti…

About Sugo.. (excerpt from website)... Richard!!! hayy...

Legend says that in a hidden labyrinth deep in the mountains, an ancient tribal mummy is buried. Apo Abukay was once a powerful chieftain who abused his magical powers. He lies at rest, just waiting for the right person to bring him to life again.

The shadows also whisper that in every generation, there is a girl whose blood shall be the key to awaken Apo Abukay. This key, it is said, shall come from the line of Apo Abukay. They are called the BINHIL-AN.

Standing in the way of Apo Abukay’s awakening are the KARAG-AYAN. It is their mission to kill the key and prevent Apo Abukay from coming to life again. For many generations and through many eras they have always succeeded…until now.

And so begins the story of Sugo, GMA’s latest teledrama which guarantees an action-packed drama adventure that will keep you at the edge of your seat.

Many decades are encompassed as the story of the first Sugo and the first Key are brought to the…
Timpla, Berhouz, Marina, Saguijo -- a foodie's dream....

These past few days, I was in food and drink heaven! It's been awhile since I had my last bonding session (translation: alcohol! and cholesterol!). Last Friday, dahon, blonde muscleman and moi went to Timpla restaurant (located at Paseo Center) to sample their cuisine. We had no expectations and chatted about. With dahon serving as the blonde muscleman's secretary... we were just there to enjoy each other's company. But when the food arrived, we were a little disappointed because of the small serving but when the food landed in our taste buds... mmmmmm.... an explosion of tastes!

The tuna belly was good... you can take it without the sauce, the tilapia fritters was crunchy and kakaiba... the egg plant salad was good! You must try it. Of course, the three of us were also satisfied with the service... (translation: cute waiters).

The next day, after our football game, we went to Berhouz along timog avenue to sample…
Makinarya by the Bridge
(Anthem of the jaded yuppie)

Tanghali nang gumising
Saka ka na kumain
Huli na sa trabaho
Sabit na lang
Barado na ang kalsada
Sabit na lang

Gusot na uniporme
Nakadikit na ang ngiti
Nagmumura ang amo
Ang bagal mo raw
Magtulak ng papel
Ang bagal mo raw

Nagpakain ka sa makina
Umasenso ka na ba
Lalo lang lumiliit
Ang isip mo
Sabay sa pagtaas ng sweldo
Tiis na lang at gaganda ang pwesto

Handa ng pamasahe
Lumulubog na ang araw
Walang laman
Ang hapong mata
Tulog na lang
Ang hinaharap na ligaya
Tulog na lang

Nagpakain ka sa makina
Umasenso ka na ba
Lalo lang sumisikip
Ang kurbata mo
Sabay sa pagtaas ng sweldo
Tiis na lang at gaganda ang pwesto

how much you loved, how gently you lived and how gracefully
you let go of things not meant for you
Closing Cycles
By Paulo Coelho

One always has to know when a stage comes to an end.
If we insist on staying longer than the necessary
time, we lose the happiness and the meaning of the
other stages we have to go through. Closing cycles,
shutting doors, ending chapters whatever name we
give it, what matters is to leave in the past the
moments of life that have finished.

Did you lose your job? Has a loving relationship
come to an end? Did you leave your parents' house?
Gone to live abroad? Has a long-lasting friendship
ended all of a sudden?

You can spend a long time wondering why this has
happened. You can tell yourself you won't take
another step until you find out why certain things
that were so important and so solid in your life
have turned into dust, just like that. But such an
attitude will be awfully stressing for everyone
involved: your parents, your husband or wife, your
friends, your children, your sister,
everyone will be finishing chapters, turning over
new leaves, getting on with life, …
