Out is out.. for now
For three months, we have been treated with a 30-minute ride to the lives of the so-called third gender (I really don't get it why they call it the third gender...is there a first and second gender? hmmmm). It was fun, enlightening and at the same time disorienting. hmmmm.... a gay-oriented show that is makes you disoriented... that's a thought. hmmmm....
But all good things should last. Advertisers, afraid of being labelled as gay-supporters and do not want to position their product in such a way related to gayness weren't strong enough to support the show. Call it media pressure, church pressure, whatever, they just weren't ready to support a cause as controversial as what this show represents. It's odd, and I think un-Filipino. For 3 months, we have heard what they have to say, we saw how they lived and loved and how they have accepted who they are for all its worth. I think in the future, this show will come back. When we are all ready to embrace our differences and just to live and let live! love without boundaries and to enjoy life as it was meant to be...
For now, goodbye, farewell and may your number increase!
